Owners Fu Man (Luis) Tse and Christina Tse run the business with help from some of their children. Luis was born in China and left in 1952 for Brazil, where he studied engineering and also opened a Chinese restaurant.

The family arrived in the United States on Jan. 1, 1990 and settled in Des Plaines. Luis worked as a materials handler for a company that made salad dressings and also started a heating and air conditioning business, which he still operates. The family opened 168 Chinese Restaurant in November 1997. They live in Niles.
