Titus, a 2-year-old basketball phenom, loves shooting trick shots.
Once Titus learned to walk, he started shooting baskets. These trick shots were filmed when Titus was between 18 and 24 months old, posted by Joseph Ashby in this YouTube video. If he keeps this up, we may see Titus in the NCAA Tournament - in about 17 years.

The Niles school will play New Trier for the chance to advance to the sectional championships.
Notre Dame College Prep is playing in the boys’ basketball sectional semi-finals game tonight against Winnetka’s New Trier at 7:30 p.m. The game takes place at Glenbrook North High school in Northbrook. Notre Dame advanced the to semi-finals after beating out Chicago’s Foreman in the regional finals game. Tonight’s game was pushed back by one day due to Tuesday’s snowstorm. If Notre Dame wins, they will take on Niles North in the sectional championship tomorrow at Glenbrook North High School at 7:30 p.m. Watch highlights from the Niles North/Maine South game.

Maine West, Niles West, Niles North and Notre Dame will all compete in a Regional Finals game tonight.
Niles-area boys’ basketball teams are coming out on top in the 2013 IHSA basketball tournament. Both Maine South and Niles West advanced to their section’s Regional Finals tonight, after coming out on top in the Regional Semi-Finals game. Maine South beat out Lincoln Park High School 46-26, and Niles West beat Glenbrook North with a score of 53-51. The two will go head-to-head tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Maine South High School. Niles North High School also advanced to the section’s Regional Finals game against Wilmette’s Loyola Academy tonight at 7:30 p.m. Niles North beat Chicago’s Taft High School 65-53 in their Regional Semi-Finals game. Notre Dame High School will take on Chicago’s Foreman High School in the team’s Regional Finals game…

Bob Williams achieved the milestone last week in a game against Maine West High School, CSL Insider reports.

Niles West High School boys basketball coach Bob Williams has achieved a milestone in his coaching career. Williams earned his 400th career win last week when Niles West beat Maine West 58-51 in the final regular season game of the season, CSL Insider reports. Williams, who has been the coach at Niles West for four seasons, was presented with the game ball after the game for his successes. He was formerly the coach at Schaumburg for 18 years.

The Maine South boys’ basketball team beat Niles North Wednesday to clinch the Central Suburban League title, the Niles Herald-Spectator reports. The Hawks came out on top over the Vikings with a 64-61 win in double-overtime play. Maine South’s top scorer was senior Danny Quinn with 9 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists, the newspaper reports.

The Maine South girls' basketball team made the sectional finals after beating Resurrection 54-37, the Niles Herald-Spectator reports. The Hawks big scorers were Jacqui Grant, Regan Charmichael and Mackenzie Duffy, the newspaper reports. Maine South will take on Evanston Township Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Loyola Academy in Wilmette.
