Police: Woman Says Man Slapped Her 5 Times

She said he got angry inside motel room, according to the report. In another incident, a family wrestled with an 18-year-old who knocked over furniture and screamed and cursed at her family and police.

  Police responded March 27 to a pharmacy parking lot in the 7100 block of Milwaukee Avenue for a call from a 20-year-old Rockford woman who was sitting in her car crying. She said she met a 29-year-old Evanston man two days ago and was hanging out with him and his brother in a room at the motel in the 7200 block of Waukegan Road.  The woman said the Evanston man started suddenly acting brutal and calling her foul names, then punched her five times on her face, pushed her down on the bed and slapped her, according to the report. Niles Fire Department paramedics offered treatment, but she refused it. Police said there were no signs of redness, bruising or swelling on the victim's face, and they arrived just minutes later.  The woman said …

Argument Escalates, Man Beats Other Man

  In a battery incident March 9, a 47-year-old Niles man and a 64-year-old Niles man were arguing in the YMCA lobby in the 6300 block of Touhy, and the offender (the 47-year-old) grabbed the other man by the shirt collar and began shaking him, according to the police report. The older man feared for his safety and hit the younger man in the face. They both fell to the ground and YMCA employees separated them.  Police said neither man appeared injured and neither wanted medical treatment. Man Charged With Beating Ex's New Boyfriend

His ex-girlfriend had an order of protection against him; she was chased around the parking lot of a store in the 6100 block of Touhy, police said. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

  Nathaniel Huston, 26, of Elmwood Park, was charged Feb. 27 with battery and violation of an order of protection, after an incident in parking lot of a store in the 6100 block of Touhy Avenue just after 5:15 p.m. He approached his ex-girlfriend, a 25-year-old Chicago woman with whom he has two children, running toward her in a threatening manner, according to the police report, and she ran and he chased her through the parking lot. The woman's current boyfriend tried to run to her aid and Huston grabbed him and wrestled him to the ground, the report indicated. Dad Charged With Battery of 6-Year-Old Son

  Michael Potrzeba, 29, of Niles was charged with domestic battery Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. His wife told police he was in the living room with their 6-year-old son, who was crying because he wanted to continue playing with his friends. The wife went to wash the dishes and the boy came to the kitchen saying his back hurt, according to the report. The wife didn't pay much attention to it at the time, the report said, but the husband later told her the boy had scratches on his back. When the mother took a look, she found the boy had scratches on his arms, chest and back and bruising on his neck, the report indicated. The husband denied causing the injuries, police said. Food Fight At Movies Ends In Battery Charge

One movie theater does not allow patrons to bring in food from the adjoining restaurant, and a fight erupted when one man tried to do that, police said. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

  Nilay Patel, 28, of Mount Prospect was charged with battery Dec. 23 at a movie theater in the 9100 block of Golf Road after theater employees notified police of a dispute.  A restaurant adjoins the theater, but the theater does not allow patrons to bring restaurant food into the theater. Patel tried to do just that, with a theater employee stopping him and explaining the policy, according to the police report. Patel argued with the employee and was asked to leave the theater, the report indicated. Patel returned to the theater with containers concealed beneath his shirt, and the employee perceived them to be the same food containers; when the employee again turned Patel away, according to police, they got into an argument and Patel …

Man Beats Estranged Uncle, Who Didn't Recognize Him, Police Say

The man angrily approached his uncle, whom he hadn't seen in 25 years, police said.

  Lee Lee, 47, of Savoy, Ill., was charged with battery Oct. 8 after an incident that happened in Civic Center Plaza on Oct. 1. A 69-year-old male victim and his 62-year-old wife were leaving a store and Lee approached them, yelling and telling the male victim he was upset with him and had no respect for him, according to police. The male victim did not recognize Lee and asked him who he was, and Lee identified himself as the son of the victim's sister.  Lee became increasingly irate and placed his hands around the victim's neck as if to choke him, according to the report. Man Beats Visitor In Front of Woman, Baby, Police Say

  Gochoo Battsngel, 47, was charged with battery Oct. 8 after police responded to a disturbance at 2 a.m. at his residence in the 8000 block of Foster Lane. When police heard a woman and baby crying, they entered the unlocked apartment and saw Battsngel with his fists clenched, standing over another man, according to the report. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was curled in the fetal position with his hands covering his head, police said.   Police ordered Battsngel to step away from the victim, and he obeyed. Man Responds To Threats With Fist, Charged With Battery

A woman's husband and ex-huband come to blows after one threatened he would harm the other's family in Serbia. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

  Marko Bojkovic, 27, of Niles was charged with battery Sept. 14 at about 9 p.m. after a scuffle in the 7300 block of Lill Street with his wife's former husband, according to police. The former husband had arrived for child visitation, and had just pulled up in his car when, he told police, Bojkovic reached into his car window and punched him in the eye, according to the police report. The former husband stuck a leg out the window attempting to kick Bojkovic, who grabbed his shoe, according to the report. Five Men Beat Self-Admitted Gang Member

  A 19-year old Niles man reported that just after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, five men, approximately 20 years old, pulled up to the driveway of his home, in the 9200 block of Woodland, and began swinging at him, police said. According to the report, the victim said he didn't know why they were attacking him; however, police said the victim is a self-admitted gang member. He sustained injuries to both of his hands, and told police that may have happened when he struck one of the assailants in the face, according to the report. Police said the victim was not cooperative and refused to provide more details about the battery. He did not want to sign complaints, and insisted on driving to the hospital on his own. Karaoke Singer Knocks Rival Unconscious

  Hyoung Kim, 45, of Glenview, was charged with battery Tuesday just after 10 p.m. Police responded to a fight at a restaurant/bar in the 9000 block of Golf Road, and found the 45-year-old male victim lying on the floor with blood on his face and hands, with his right eye appearing swollen, they said. Through a Cook County Sheriff's Police translator, police said they learned the victim and his friend had entered the restaurant and the victim wanted to sing karaoke songs, but the offender, Kim, was in possession of the controller.
