Estate sales let you see some fabulous homes. Sometimes you find a treasure--and sometimes you see the court where a famous Bull shot hoops with Michael Jordan.
Now that the nice weather is here, estate sales are in full swing. Going to them is my new hobby. Ever since I was a little girl I wished I could see the insides of houses. Maybe it’s an architect thing. In recent years, I discovered that going to estate sales gets me into some really interesting homes. I like to go to those in high-end neighborhoods, because then chances are high that when I walk in I’ll be wowed by a beautiful staircase. First, I walk around the entire house to take in the floor plan. Then I walk around again to take a look at all the “stuff” that’s for sale. And sometimes I find somethin’ that I just gotta have! I must say that when I first started doing this, these estate sales struck me as very sad events. …

The 2011-2012 Chicago Bulls Jersey Guide.
Sports fans love showing off their team logos. Whether it's buying hats, T-shirts or even Green Bay Packer cheese heads, fans can't get enough sports gear to proclaim their “fanhood.” With the Chicago Bulls starting their season on Christmas Day with a victory over the Los Angeles' Lakers, there’s no better time to add some new apparel to your sports wardrobe. Even with a shortened season, the Bulls are hoping to avenge last year’s loss to the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Still, the most difficult question in sports still needs to be answered: Which player’s jersey should you buy? And the bigger the fan you are, the harder it is to choose. Do you go with the obvious superstar? What about a team’s most recent draft pick? Should …

After clawing to a 73-73 tie, the Bulls had no answer for the hot hand of Miami's big-play forward.
Early in the season a lot was made of the Miami Heat's inability to finish games. But in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James put some of that criticism to rest on Wednesday. After the Bulls tied the game at 73-73 midway through the fourth quarter, the Heat closed with a 12-2 run to win 85-75. The victory evened the series at one game each, as Chicago heads to Miami for Game 3 on Sunday. Since that game won't be broadcast on network television, fans can see it locally at Crazy Jaws Roadhouse, Bringer Inn, Chasers Bar and Grill, The Howard Street Inn, Graziano's, Morrison Roadhouse and Brick House Tavern and Tap. Local reaction to Bulls vs Heat On Wednesday eyes were focused on one of the 30 TVs at Crazy Jaws Roadhouse …
After clawing to a 73-73 tie, the Bulls had no answer for the hot hand of Miami's big-play forward.
Local reaction to Bulls vs Heat The Village Inn was packed with fans preparing to cheer on the Bulls during Game 2 on Wednesday night. After the Bulls performance in Game 1, confidence was high to say the least. “I am completely blown away that they smashed them by 20 points,” Ernesto Paras, 38, said before Game 2. “It just goes to show you how much Derrick Rose has come with his game.” A number of people pointed to the play of the Bulls' frontcourt as making the difference for Chicago in Game 1 and potentially as the “X-factor” throughout the series. “I think rebounding and defense,” Mark Berardi, 41, said when asked about the keys to another win before Wednesday’s game. “The Heat have LeBron and Dwyane Wade, but there’s no one on the …

Chicago natives Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade will lead their respective teams in a clash of titans.
While Chicago weather chilled down, things are about to heat up as the Miami Heat travels to the Windy City for the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday. And it’s going to be a tale of one city. Both Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose are Chicago natives, which certainly will make the games crowd pleasers in their hometown. Wade led the Heat to the 2006 NBA title, and Rose is helping to respark the Bulls' championship magic of the 1990s. Better yet, the Bulls have secured home-court advantage throughout the playoffs after closing the regular season with the best record in the NBA, 62-20. Both teams got to the finals by quickly dispatching their opponents in the best of seven games. The Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 4-1 in their series and …
