Niles Candidates Force Coin Toss; LoVerde Bows Out
Two full slates of candidates showed up to file at 8:30 a.m. Monday, forcing a lottery to see which will get first billing on the ballot. Also, Trustee Joe LoVerde, who was planning a mayoral run, nixes it for health reasons.
After four candidates from the New Niles 2013 Party and four from the Responsible Leadership Party showed up Monday morning when the Niles Village Clerk opened up, they will force a coin toss or similar lottery to determine which goes first on the ballot.
