Mother-Daughter Conflict Escalates

A mother pushed her 21-year-old daughter out of the house, threw her shoes at her and refused to speak to police. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

  Domestic Dispute DATE OF INCIDENT: 11/20/2012 at 1410 hrs 1410 to 11/20/2012 at 1422 hrs Location: 8000 block of Ottawa (Street) SUMMARY: On 11/20/2012 at 1423 hours Niles Police Officer’s   Police responded Nov. 20 at about 2:20 p.m. to a domestic disturbance between a mother and daughter at a home on Ottawa Street. The 21-year-old daughter said her mother, 49, became upset with her for not picking up an item at the store, and pushed her out of the house and threw her shoes at her, according to the report; when she attempted to reenter, the mother would not let her in. The daughter said she felt soreness on her back and arms. Man Beats Visitor In Front of Woman, Baby, Police Say

The offender was intoxicated and became upset the visitor was eating and drinking with a woman, according to police. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

  Gochoo Battsngel, 47, was charged with battery Oct. 8 after police responded to a disturbance at 2 a.m. at his residence in the 8000 block of Foster Lane. When police heard a woman and baby crying, they entered the unlocked apartment and saw Battsngel with his fists clenched, standing over another man, according to the report. The victim, a 46-year-old man, was curled in the fetal position with his hands covering his head, police said.   Police ordered Battsngel to step away from the victim, and he obeyed. The woman who was present told police she and the offender live together as roommates, and he was upset that the victim was visiting, eating and drinking with her, according to the report. Woman Accuses Man Of Cheating, Police Called

She was yelling and swearing when police arrived. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

  Police responded to a 31-year-old Niles woman who was yelling and swearing when they arrived at her home in the 8000 block of Lyons Thursday at about 1 a.m. The woman, who appeared to be intoxicated, was yelling to remove the "m*** from her house," according to police. She told police she was talking about her ex-husband, they said. The victim, a 32-year-old man, came up from the lower level where he said he had been sleeping and told police she had woken him up and accused him of cheating on her, according to the report. The man said he would leave for the night. Man Locked Out Of Home, Gets Drug Charge

He was gone three days and his father changed locks on the home, police said. Information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation of guilt and does not indicate a conviction.

Matthew Giannakopoulos, 23, of Niles was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Saturday at about 9:45 p.m. when police responded to a domestic disturbance. They found Giannakopoulos on the rear deck of a home in the 7200 block of Greenleaf, trying to speak to his father so he could get into the house, according to police. He had returned home after leaving Wednesday to use drugs, police said, but the father had changed the locks. His court date is May 17 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
