Boy Killed By Car In Skokie Identified

The 8-year-old was about to finish second grade.

  The identity of the boy killed in yesterday's crash in Skokie has been released.  He is 8-year-old Carter Vo, a second-grader. He was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when one of the cars in a three-car accident hit him, according to CBS Local.com Skokie police were still on scene at 7:30 p.m. Monday investigating the aftermath of the incident that happened near Main Street and St. Louis Avenue in Skokie, about 20 or 30 yards from John Middleton Elementary School. The preliminary investigation suggests that a van traveling southbound on St. Louis Avenue attempting to turn eastbound on Main Street struck a sedan traveling eastbound on Main Street, police said.  After striking the sedan the driver lost control and struck Carter Vo on the…
