Officials Investigate Death of Fetus Found in Dumpster at Yorktown Mall
An investigation has been launched to try and determine the circumstances of the death of a fetus found recently in a dumpster, officials said.
The body of a dead fetus was found recently inside a dumpster at the Yorktown Mall. Officials are now trying to determine the circumstances that led to the fetus' death and subsequent dumping at the mall in Lombard. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, Lombard Police Chief Ray Byrne and Glendale Heights Police Chief Mike Marron have launched an investigation into the death, DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office spokesman Paul Darrah said Tuesday. Officials did not disclose when the fetus was found or an age of the fetus. ABC7 is reporting that the Glendale Heights police said a teen delivered the fetus and dumped it Saturday at the mall.
