Moderating crude oil prices are the reason for the dip in prices, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Gas prices are finally going down for Niles and Morton Grove drivers. The average price of gasoline in the Chicago suburbs has dropped by 9 cents in the past week to $3.91 per gallon, the Chicago Tribune reports. The newspaper says moderating crude oil prices are the reason for the drop in price. As of Monday afternoon, the following gas stations have the lowest prices in Niles and Morton Grove, according to GasBuddy.com:

CNN Money reports the average price for a gallon of gasoline in America is $3.73. Niles/Morton Grove gasoline prices are even higher.
Most motorists have noticed that the price of gasoline has done nothing but rise over the past month. CNN Money reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in America has increased more than 13 percent over the past 32 days to $3.73. On Monday afternoon, gas prices in Niles/Morton Grove ranged from $3.92 at the Mobil station at Waukegan and Golf Roads in Morton Grove to $4.15 at the Shell station at W. Touhy and Lehigh Avenues, according to GasBuddy.com CNN Money is crediting the price increase to a combination of factors including rising crude oil prices, production cuts and refinery closings.
