UPDATE: Police Search For Robber Who Shut Maine South

Police did not have any suspects in custody in connection with a gas station robbery that occurred in the afternoon, according to police. The robber had fled into Park Ridge, causing school lockdowns.

  UPDATE: Des Plaines police are looking for a man they say is responsible for robbing a Shell gas station in Des Plaines at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, police stated in a press release on Friday. The man entered the Shell station, 1605 S. River Road, demanded cash from the employee at the register, police stated, took the cash and fled the area. There is video of the robbery, said Sergeant Christopher Mierzwa, but it’s being held as evidence and not being released to the public.
