Emerson Students Graduate Middle School

They had their graduation ceremony at Maine East High School Wednesday.

  Eighth graders at Emerson Middle School in Niles completed the papers, the tests, even the recent fundraising walk for breast cancer.  On Wednesday night, the students in the Niles-Park Ridge School District 64 school donned red graduation robes and walked across the Maine East High School stage to accept their diplomas.  See the photo gallery for a closer look. Culver Students Graduate, Pick 'Dance' Theme

Three present or former board members got to hand diplomas to their own children.

Applause burst forth frequently from the audience of parents and family members as Clarence E. Culver School students graduated from eighth grade Monday night. Four of the graduates, who were given the honor based on their high grades, took the podium. Brendan Tiongson reflected on the graduation's theme, "Life is not about worrying when the storm will pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain." Earlier: Niles West's 2012 Graduation "I’m pretty sure we all know we will face a myriad of challenges throughout life. We cannot let them get the better of us," he said.
