Drivers Survive Serious Head on Collision
An entire block of Gross Point Road in Skokie was sealed off by police following a serious head-on collision on Tuesday around 3:23 p.m.
Two drivers survived a serious head-on crash near the intersection of Gross Point Road and Suffield Court on Tuesday around 3:23 p.m. The area is just east of the I-94 interchange at Dempster Street in Morton Grove. According to an eye witness, a woman travelling southbound on Gross Point Road merged into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle travelling northbound, or towards Church Street. The accident occurred at 3:23 p.m. and ambulance and fire officials arrived within three minutes. Fortunately, there is a fire station located down the street from where the accident occurred at 9024 Gross Point Road. It did not appear that either drivers sustained serious or life threatening injuries. No further information is available …
