Police said the Morton Grove man told them he was a heroin addict. An arrest is merely an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.
The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following report. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Police responded to a report of a man slumped over his steering wheeling in a business parking lot on the 900 block of S. Graceland Avenue at 11:03 p.m. on Nov. 13. Police found a man, later identified as Kurt Woltman, 34, of Morton Grove, asleep at the wheel of his Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to the report, while the vehicle was still running. After unsuccessfully attempting to wake Woltman, police opened the driver’s door to the truck, and, according to the report, part of a metal scrub pad was on the floor inside the vehicle.
