$2,700 Worth of Laptops Stolen

Offenders cut the cables on a store display and removed four laptops. In another incident, a man scratched and damaged four cars in a parking lot, police say. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

  On Jan. 30, a security agent for a store in the 8500 block of Golf Road discovered four laptop computers missing from a store display, according to a police report. She reviewed security video, which showed offenders taking the merchandise just after 1 a.m., police said. Two of the offenders used pliers to cut the security cables before removing the laptops. Security footage showed them getting into a silver Audi in the parking lot, and a third offender also getting into the car. The third offender was also seen on video inside the store, looking at the computer area before the other two offenders entered that area, police said.  The cumulative value of the laptops was $2,722. How is criminal damage like that a felony. Is anything a mistomeanor any more. Well what he did was was wrong but if they keep handing out charges like this none of us will be able to get a job. Please,,,,we all do stupid things an act before we think , but a felony. PLEEEEASE !!!!!!! Seems like they just wana stick it to u one way or another these days .......   more ›
