Niles Student Appears In College Opera

Susan Borkowski appears in production at Lawrence University.

   Susan Borkowski, daughter of Steven and Kay Borkowski, Niles, appeared in Lawrence University's recent (Feb. 14-17) production of Benjamin Britten's comic opera "Albert Herring." Lawrence University is located in Appleton, Wisc. Borkowski portrayed Florence Pike, a housekeeper. She is a 2008 graduate of Niles Township West High School. The opera, set in an English village filled with eccentric characters, depicts the coming-of-age tale of Albert Herring, an innocent "mama's boy." Like Niles-Morton Grove Patch on Facebook
