Maine Township Garage Sale Aids Less Fortunate

Sixth Annual Maine Township Garage Sale brings in more than $4,000 for food pantry and MaineStay Adventure Camp.

The Sixth Annual Maine Township Community Garage Sale brought in more than $4,000 for the township's emergency food pantry and MaineStay Adventure Camp for disadvantaged youth last weekend, said the Township's Public Information Officer Dick Barton. Vendor space sold out in record time this year and the sale hosted more than 75 tables, rented at $20 a piece, for the event which was attended by approximately 1,000 people from surrounding communities.  "This is the highest amount of vendors we've ever had," said Mary Rhode, a collector with the Township.
