Meet the Leaders: Niles Trustee Chris Hanusiak

Niles Patch recently sat down with the village's newest trustee, Christopher Hanusiak, for a Q&A to pick his brain about issues confronting the town and enable readers to know him a little better. His name may be familiar to residents because he ran for mayor in 2009. Hanusiak, a married father of three, was born in Poland and came to the U.S. as a young child. He served in the U.S. Navy, then worked in the information technology industry as a database administrator and software engineer for companies such as Panasonic, Motorola, Oracle and Underwriters Laboratories.  After his job was outsourced a few years ago, he and his wife Agnes started their own business, Royal Kitchen and Bath Cabinets on Caldwell Avenue in Niles.
