Police Blotter: Virtual Stalker, Physical Gawker

The following information was supplied by the Morton Grove police department. If an arrest occurred, it does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 25  Theft - Unknown offender(s) took envelopes from a UPS drop box on the 8900 block of Waukegan. Jan. 25    Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle - Unknown offender(s) broke the window of the victim’s vehicle on the 5800 block of Emerson by throwing a bottle at it. Jan. 27  Harassment by Electronic Means - The subject sent the victim a text message threatening the victim. Jan. 28  Stalking - The subject drove by the victim’s house on the 7000 block of Foster causing her to be alarmed and think that she was under surveillance. Jan. 29 Burglary - Unknown offender(s) entered the victim’s home on the 7000 block of Arcadia through a window and burglarized it.

Jan. 22  Theft - Unknown offender(s) took the victims’ wallets from their lockers while they were exercising at a business on the 6800 block of Dempster. The locks were also missing, according to the Morton Grove Police Department.  Jan. 23  Theft - Unknown offender(s) took the victims’ wallets from their lockers while they were exercising at a business on the 6800 block of Dempster. The locks were also missing.  Jan. 24  Disorderly Conduct - Police were dispatched to a business on the 8500 block of Waukegan for a fight in progress. Police Blotter: Day Goes From Bad to Worse for Employee

Jan. 23  Assault - Joshua M. Steadman, 23, of Niles, was allegedly angry because he was fired from his job on the 7000 block of Dempster. He confronted the managers in an aggressive manner while yelling. He knocked the hat off of a manager’s head. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 24.  Jan. 19  Criminal Trespass - Bryan R. Zambrano, 40, of Prospect Heights, was allegedly warned that he was not allowed on the complainant’s property, but came to the house anyway. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 24, according to the Morton Grove Police Department.  Jan. 20  DUI - Kay L. Dec. 21  Attempted Theft - Offender called victim at her residence to state she had won some prizes. The victim stated she knew it was a scam and hung up the phone.   Dec. 23  Deceptive Practice: Credit Card Fraud - Unknown offender(s) asked the victim for her personal information through a fake PayPal email. The victim - believing it to be a real email - sent her personal information.
