Police Pursue Vehicle Suspected in Homicide

Police pursued a car on Saturday that fit the description of one involved in a homicide, according to Skokie police officials, and Evanston police officers picked up a passenger.

Teen's Shooting May Be Gang-Related, Police Say

Evanston police say there may be some gang involvement in death of 19-year-old Justin Murray, who was shot and killed on Brown Avenue in Evanston Thursday night.

  Evanston police say there are indications that gang members could be involved in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Justin Murray on Thursday night.  “We do believe there’s indicators that it has ties to gang involvement, but there’s no indicators that the victim, specifically, is a gang member,” Evanston Police Cmdr.
