$15,000 Worth of Gaming Systems Stolen

The electronic handheld gaming systems were taken from a store. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

  A loss prevention agent for a retail store in the 5600 block of Touhy Avenue reported Dec. 3 that offenders entered an electronics aisle and took a great number of electronic handheld gaming devices worth more than $15,000. The theft occurred Dec. 1. Police opened an investigation. Man is out money after his co-worker writes bad check, police say A 25-year-old Des Plaines man went with his co-worker, an Evanston woman in her 20s, to a bank in the 8400 block of Dempster Dec. 5 after she asked his help in cashing some checks, according to the report. The man related that he deposited checks, withdrew $700 for her and gave her the cash. Later, the man was contacted by the bank and told the checks came back with insufficient funds. Police …
