Scott and Jennifer Corneliuson were charged with child endangerment and animal hoarding on Thursday morning. Their three children are now in the care of a family member, according to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Scott Corneliuson, 40, and Jennifer Corneliuson, 43, were arrested Thursday and charged with endangering the life of a child and companion animal hoarding, according to the Glenview Police Department. The Corneliuson family lives in the 3300 block of Lakewood Ct., where police said they found 35 dogs living in their own waste during an investigation Dec. 7. The Corneliuson family had three children, according to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. The kids are now in the care of a family member and the dogs are being removed per a DCFS safety plan. A Park Ridge woman _ who owns a Woodstock home where 91 animals in various states of neglect were rescued _ has been charged with animal cruelty, McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies said. Virginia E. Dinucci, 54, of 1731 Pavilion Way, is charged with three counts of cruel treatment and 12 counts of owner’s duties, according to the sheriff's office. Her bond was set at $1,000. Sheriff’s deputies went to 8617 Bull Run Trail in Woodstock on October 29 for a well being check but found 91 animals, some dead, in the home. McHenry County Animal Control officers removed 91 animals due to unsafe living conditions and inadequate care. McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies doing a well-being check on a Bull Valley homeowner who had not been seen for weeks discovered her home was filled with 91 animals including a dead dog, cat and bird, according to reports.
