How To Green Niles? Give Ideas Tonight
Residents, businesses, etc. are invited to talk about ideas for environmental sustainability in Niles--and think big.
If you've always wanted to see solar power, or LEED-certified buildings, or (name your dream environmental goal here) in Niles, the village wants to hear from you. The recently-approved Niles 2030 Comprehensive Plan called for environmental sustainability, but it didn't really spell out what that means, said Steve Vinezeano, assistant village manager. The village is creating an Environmental Action Plan to fulfill that goal, and residents, businesses, developers and others interested are invited to come to a meeting tonight to envision ideas for doing that.
