Cops: Worker Set Up Peep Cam in Fitting Room

Customers at an Old Orchard Shopping Center store were illegally filmed when trying on clothing. Police said a 21-year-old sales associate set up the camera.

  After admitting to officers that he was secretly videotaping customers undress in fitting rooms, Sergio Corona said it was because he heard other workers talking about thefts within the store, police said. Corona, 21, of Chicago and a former sales associate at Zara in Old Orchard Mall, was charged with illegally filming customers on Jan. 10. Corona set up his peep cam by attaching a small camera to an article of clothing left inside a fitting room, according to police. The offender admitted to using the camera about seven to 10 times over an 11-day span, police said. The suspect told officers he acted alone and at first, his efforts were for security reasons, or to catch customers stealing clothing. His motives would later change from …
