Man Who Allegedly Stole Two Cars and Left on Tracks to Make Second Court Appearance

Vehicles were hit by Metra trains at the same intersection twice in a week.

The second court date for a man who allegedly left two cars on Des Plaines train tracks last year is Feb. 29 at Skokie courthouse, Journal and Topics Newspapers reported. It will be a status hearing. Kenneth Cooper, 19, of Niles, was held on three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated battery, fleeing and eluding, and theft. For the story, visit Journal and Topics’ website. Something definately does not make sense here. I live right by him and leave my car unlocked with my GPS in it all the time. He's a great person that always looks out for other people. Unfortunately, Niles PD has a reputation to lie, write false police reports, break into homes without search warrants, and pull cars over without probable cause all because they believe they can get away with it.   more ›
