Morton Grove Crime: Home Burglary, DUI, Theft

ARRESTS Braulio Guzman, 39, of Chicago was charged with driving without a valid driver's license on Nov. 13. Court date is scheduled for 11/30/12.  Angel Arizmendi-Figueroa, 23, of Schiller Park was charged with driving without a valid driver's license Nov. 3. Court date is scheduled for 12/18/12 Nicole Hoffman, 18, of Des Plaines, was charged with underage drinking and resisting arrest Nov. 10 in the 6300 block of Dempster. Court date is scheduled for 12/04/12. MoGro Blotter: Lifted Alcohol, Stolen Garbage Can

  Arrests Javier, Castrejon, 24, and Jason Khim, 24, both of Chicago, were arrested by police on Aug. 1 in the 8700 block of Waukegan Rd. Police first made a traffic stop and discovered cannabis in the vehicle the two subjects were driving in, which was packaged for sale.  Both Castrejon and Khim were charged with possession of controlled substance and posssession of cannabis with intent to deliver. A court date is scheduled for Sept. 4.  Leslie Robinson, 25, of Rockford, was stopped by police for a traffic violation on Aug. 2 in the 6900 block of Dempster and was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. MoGro Blotter: Drug Deal Foiled, Attempted Laptop Theft

  Arrests Brandon L. Godla, 26, and Elton A. Jacobson, 21, both of Morton Grove were apprehended by police on July 26 due to a report of a possible drug deal in progress in the 7900 block of Foster Avenue.  Police stopped the vehicle involved and found drug paraphernalia, cannabis, and a Xanax pill. Godla was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Jacobson charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. No court date(s) were provided by police.  James R. Paszkiewicz, 19, of Glenview, was stopped for traffic violations on July 28 when officers smelled burnt cannabis coming from the vehicle in the 5600 block of Dempster.   The following information comes from Morton Grove Police Department reports.  ARRESTS James Felsenthal, 53, of Chicago was charged with retail theft July 12 after police said he concealed a drill bit set and a box of candy and walked out of the store, at 6301 Oakton, passing the last point of purchase without paying for them. Court date is scheduled for 8/16/12. Calvin Wheeler Jr., 21, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations July 13 at Dempster and Menard, police said, and charged with driving on a suspended license. Court date is scheduled for 08/15/12. Feb. 21  Sale of tobacco products to a minor - Mohammad Anis, employee of Tobacco Outlet, was issued a citation for allegedly selling a pack of cigarettes to a 16-year-old who was working with the police to check businesses in Morton Grove for compliance with tobacco sale laws. Tobacco Outlet was also issed a citation and a administrative hearing is scheduled for March 14. Feb. 17  Liquor Law Violation: Delivery or Sale to a Minor - Ashley M. DUI: Veronica L. Reyes, 31, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence Feb. 3 after being stopped at Dempster Street and Waukegan Road for traffic violations, police said. Retail Theft: Keith Richardson, 48, of Chicago was issued a local ordinance ticket for retail theft Feb. 3 after he was seen on camera at Menards, 6301 Oakton St., placing drill bits under the child seat in a shopping car and leaving the store without paying for them, police said. Jan. 25  Theft - Unknown offender(s) took envelopes from a UPS drop box on the 8900 block of Waukegan. Jan. 25    Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle - Unknown offender(s) broke the window of the victim’s vehicle on the 5800 block of Emerson by throwing a bottle at it. Jan. 27  Harassment by Electronic Means - The subject sent the victim a text message threatening the victim. Jan. 28  Stalking - The subject drove by the victim’s house on the 7000 block of Foster causing her to be alarmed and think that she was under surveillance. Jan. 29 Burglary - Unknown offender(s) entered the victim’s home on the 7000 block of Arcadia through a window and burglarized it.
