Updated 5:50 a.m. on June 28. In the original version of this story, five people were reported to be transported to area hospitals, but their conditions were unknown. Commander Nick Treantafeles of the Des Plaines Police Department said there were no fatalities in the collision. There is a link to a story by Journal & Topics Newspapers in the first post below, in which witness reports stated a black truck traveling southbound on Elmhurst Road, ran a red light, and struck a red truck either turning into or out of the 7-Eleven south of Oakton Street on Tuesday. There was a traffic collision at Oakton Street and Elmhurst Road, reported as a rollover with entrapment, according to an alert issued by the Current Incident Notifications Service (CINS) at 3:30 p.m. Elk Grove Township and Des Plaines fire departments responded to the scene with multiple pieces of equipment.
