Super Bowl Recipes: SF, NOLA, Baltimore

Mix it up with foods from California for the 49ers, the Coast for the Ravens and, best of all, Creole and Cajun for the culinary capital of N'Awlins.

  Now that the Super Bowl has become more or less a national holiday, it's time to make the most of the edible delights of the day. In terms of American regional cooking, who could ask for a more varied geographic triangle than San Francisco, Baltimore and New Orleans? Mix up your party spread with dishes from each of the teams' cities, plus the city which will host the Bowl. Here are some recipes and notes to get you started. Where To Watch the Super Bowl In Niles, Park Ridge and Morton Grove Feb. 3

Local bars, restaurants and even one church are firing up the big screen and getting the food and drink ready for the football fan-aticism.

  The Super Bowl is always more fun to watch when there's a crowd cheering--or jeering--the teams. The following local places will be open for the big game and, in most cases, offering specials. Playbook Sports Bar on Milwaukee Avenue in Niles has huge TVs everywhere you look, and it's offering drink specials such as $6 to $12 pitchers, a $12 Miller lite bucket and $6 for a Bloody Mary bar with over 100 ingredients. There is also a $35 food and drink package; it must be reserved before Feb. 3. Playbook offers a full food menu. St. John Brebeuf Church's Holy Name Men's Club is running a Super Sunday Football Party.
