  Brothers K is hands-down the best coffee shop in Evanston. And they are disability-aware in customer service. It would be great if they would unlock both doors so that strollers and wheelchairs could get through.

  Greatest Service and Gas Station on the North Shore! Hires people with disabilities. Offers full service at self-serve prices, so if you need the help you get it. Get my oil changed there faithfully every 3000 miles. Thx Duxler!

  Lucky Platter fills me up with home-style, comfort food with "funk-itude." I eat breakfast and lunch there often and never tire of it. Mobility-device users note: you need to ring the big blue bell at the front door so the staff can put out the portable ramp up the 1 step to this very old Evanston building. I applaud the owner for making it possible with customers who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices to get into the place to enjoy the good food.

  This business is an employer of people with disabilities, is physically accessible and I know of a yoga class held there that has several participants with and without disabilities.

  Whole Foods Evanston South goes beyond physical accessibility in its welcome of those with disabilities. They've had disability awareness trainings for staff and have employees with disabilities. Very socially responsible.
