ReplyWhat a heartbreaking story; my sympathies go out to the family. It is for just this reason I am hesitant to enroll my daughter in summer camp. Most of them have pool outings, and she cannot swim. The burden is on daycare and camp supervisors to be vigilant over the children in their charge. I am just not willing to entrust my daughter's safety in water to them.

ReplyCongrats to Ms. Maluchnik! She was one of the best teachers I had at Res (I won't say how many years ago), and I'm happy she continues to inspire students today.
