I grew up in St. Ansgar, Iowa. It is a small town and is about as north in Iowa as you can get. There are just over one thousand people in my town and I graduated with a class of just 60 students.

After a stint at a community college, I transferred to Columbia College Chicago in 2008. There, I studied film directing, screenwriting, and producing. I graduated from Columbia in 2010 with a BA in Film and Video.

Today, I live in Evanston, Illinois with my wife. I continue to study and make films, and I regularly perform improvisational comedy in venues all over Chicago.
