The former mayor has nothing to gain by grandstanding. He spent the past 4 years serving the people of Morton Grove with very little increases in taxes. We can only hope that the spending to refurbish the mayors' office, (including a new flat screen) and a payment of $400 to a relative of trustee Grear is not an early indication of what we can expect from the new administration.

Sherwin, it is my understanding that the new mayor had the mayors office redecorated including a new, flat screen TV. Perhaps no grandiose and expensive projects, but the shady business has already started.

Those aren't the reasons at all Ray. The real reasons that this has lacked coverage is because it has nothing to do with "The Voice" or "So You Think You Can Dance" or the latest on the Khardashians... you know, the really IMPORTANT stuff.
