Whole Foods Opens Wednesday With Free Donuts, Coffee


Strike up the band. After months of construction at the corner of Touhy Avenue and Washington Street in Park Ridge, Whole Foods is set for its grand opening Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The organically-minded grocery store will start serving free apple cider donuts and Dark Matter coffee at 8 a.m. outside the store as part of its grand opening celebration. A bluegrass band will also perform There's a bread-breaking scheduled for 8:45 a.m. At 9 a.m. the doors swing open.

The store also promises free gift bags for the first 100 customers, and two of those will contain a surprise $50 gift card. There will also be a drawing for a $500 gift card.
