Lit Lounge: book discussion of American Terroir by Rowan Jacobsen

Join us for a book discussion of American Terroir by Rowan Jacobsen. The book talks about “terroir,” French for the "taste of place," and explains why local conditions such as soil and climate affect the flavor of iconic American foods such as apples, honey, cheese, oysters, or chocolate. With classic recipes and resources for finding local foods, it’s a great read for any aspiring locavore.

LitLounge, a book group co-sponsored by the Skokie Public Library and the Morton Grove Public Library, meets monthly in the Irish pub, The Curragh at 8266 Lincoln Ave. in Skokie.
