Senator Mulroe to host Foreclosure Prevention Workshop

CHICAGO—Senator John Mulroe (D-Chicago) will be co-hosting a
foreclosure prevention workshop Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9am-1pm in the
Atrium at Wright College in Chicago (4300 N Narragansett, Chicago, IL 60634).  He will be joined by State Representatives
McAuliffe and Martwick and 38th Ward Alderman Cullerton.

This free workshop is nearly
the 50th of its kind to be held throughout Illinois as an initiative
of The Mortgage Relief Project (MRP).  MRP
is a part of the Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network and is dedicated to
providing information and resources that can help homeowners take advantage of
programs to lower their mortgages, avoid foreclosure and keep their homes.  IMRP also provides information on legal
rights, credit counseling and avoiding scam artists. In addition, homeowners can
also take advantage of private, one-on-one housing counseling with
HUD-certified counselors during the workshop.

“I am pleased that The
Illinois Mortgage Relief Project is able to provide these services to the
people of Illinois,” said Sen. Mulroe.
“The recession has affected everyone and it is important for people to
get the information needed to help keep them in their homes during these
difficult times.”
